In today’s life, an honest and bitter truth is that people get sexually harassed by other people. Be it in their workplace, on a moving train, or even at school. From 9 years old to 79 years old, anyone can be sexually harassed. When we think about sexual harassment, we usually think about a “woman” getting sexually harassed by her boss or colleague and most of the time strangers. Had we ever stopped and thought about that men can get sexually harassed too? Astonishing but not unusual. The only difference is that talking about it, is tough for a man than a woman. Because, often people tends to think that what they are saying might not be true. But, no, it’s the truth. 

Researchers have found that at least 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual abuse or assault, whether in childhood or as adults. And this is probably a low estimate, since it doesn’t include non contact experiences, which can also have lasting negative effects.

There should always be a space for men who are being sexually harassed in their workplace where they get to tell about it and have the justice. They should feel protected and continue their job.
